Eric Stonestreet is very protective of his mother and recently blasted Kiss members who he alleges was extremely rude to his mother on a flight to Kansas.
The Modern Family star took to Twitter to call out the legendary rockers after his mother told her son how rude the two Kiss members were treating her.
Kiss’s Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley have a different version of what went down that day, but here is how Eric Stonestreet handled the alleged bullying of his mother.
Stonestreet shared a text conversation from his mom that claims Simmons and Stanley were on her flight…
Stonestreet wrote:
“Turns out both Gene Simmons AND Paul Stanley were on my mom’s flight to Kansas City. Gene tried to bully my mom out of her seat and when she said no, he said, it’s ok, I just bought the plane and then asked her for HER autograph. – dick move. Then Paul called her ‘Aunt Bee.’ – dick move. I can’t wait to run into you two old ass makeup wearing f*cks and tell you in person; you should have been nicer to my mom.”
Gene Simmons responded to Eric Stonestreet’s claims stating this did not happen!
“Someone posted a story which is blatantly untrue. The essence of it was that we were mean to somebody’s mother. It’s simply untrue,” Gene Simmons tweeted.
Stonestreet’s next response to Gene reveals, “It was me and it was my mom. Just say sorry for the confusion Jamey Stonestreet and we’re good.”
Gene Simmons stood his ground and responded once again posting,
“I STAND BY MY WORDS — IT’S FICTION,” replied Simmons. “LOOK, I HAVE A MOTHER, TOO. I would never be mean, especially to mothers. You know that.”
The verbal battle on Twitter continued with the MF star stating,
“Im gonna go ahead & believe my 70yr old mom on this one. u should continue to make HER the aggressor tho. Its a good color on u.”
Paul Stanley weighed in on his take of the situation posting,“@EricStonestreet I actually waited so your mom could get off first. The rest-A misunderstanding of joking. I apologize anyway. Good son.”
Stonestreet told Stanley, “Thank u for that. She did tell me you let her go first. I will tape my glow in the dark KISS posters back together now.”
Gene Simmons however was not quite finished with what h had t say on the matter and again tweeted,
“YOU LOVE YOUR MOM. I LOVE MY MOM. WE ALL LOVE MOMS—. I STAND BY MY WORDS,” he told Stonestreet, later telling a follower, “THE GODS HONEST TRUTH IS, I WAS FAST ASLEEP FOR THE ENTIRE FLIGHT, AND HAVE NO IDEA WHAT ANYONE IS TALKING ABOUT.”
Eric Stonestreet called the feud to an end with a sarcastic apolog,y and dig at Gene Simmons who, at age 64 is only six years younger than his mother stating,
“Ok @genesimmons. Take care. I assure u, I will have a stern talk with my mom about making up stories. Old people, ya know? OUR apologies:).”
This is an entirely confusing celebrity feud, if Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of Kiss were rude to Eric Stonestreet’s mama, then shame on them, if Stonestreet’s mom is confused about the situation then just let it be.
Who’s story do you believe in the great celebrity battle of the mother lovers, Eric Stonestreet, or Gene Simmons?
